I'm a (bad) YouTuber!

A huge part of being an online personality, whether you are a blogger (such as Gary Vaynerchuk) or a fashionista (Chiara Ferragni), is to have a Youtube channel. This allows you to talk to your viewers and share content where images and text just don't fit the bill.
So, of course I have to create one too, right?
If I want to build an audience online, I have to create content that people will be interested in watching, or to watch highlights and replays of my stream, as I do not have automatic stream uploads on Twitch (saved on-demand full replays of my streams).
I created a Youtube channel, called "HateTheHayter" and I currently have one video uploaded, which is just a highlights reel of a stream I did. As of writing this, the video has been up for 12 days and has a total of 19 views, from 14 different viewers. I included 39 different tags on the video, so people searching for these tags will see my video on the list, and in the suggested content on the side. However, I'm starting to see a trend that organic views are incredibly hard to gain.
Of course, I can't really complain that I am not getting many videos. I have not posted my channel anywhere publicly besides in my stream description and on this blog. I still have not advertised any of my content on my personal Twitter or Facebook pages, so anyone finding my content is a genuinely organic view.
Looking at the popular channels on Youtube, many of them have hundreds if not thousands of videos and upload 3-4 videos a week, or even daily. I believe this is a good way of getting more views and subscribers to the channel - to literally spam Youtube with your content so people see it appear more.
I will try to upload some more videos before the end of this project and see how the stats differ.
